Fees

Changes to Jordan’s Principle subsidy requests for 2025/26 hockey season

Transcona Minor Hockey Association is advising parents/guardians that for the 2025/26 hockey season, we will no longer arrange for or wait for reimbursement of registration fees under Jordan’s Principle.  Parents/guardians will be expected to pay hockey registration fees in full and then submit their own claim(s) for reimbursement using the receipt provided by the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR).

This change is necessary due to the substantial increase in funding requests, the delays in processing, the availability of funding, and the uncertainty around eligibility. As a non-profit community organization that receives no external funding, TMHA is not in a position to absorb costs due to delays, funding shortages or eligibility changes.

Please note that the same procedure is applicable to team fees (practice ice, tournaments, dryland training, etc.). Once team managers set the fees based on the per player costs, parents/guardians are expected to pay in full by the due date. It is not the managers’ responsibility to apply for reimbursement, liaise with Jordan’s Principle claims processing, or with other funding sources. Parents/guardians must pay their fees in a timely fashion and if they choose, seek reimbursement themselves.

Failure to pay registration fees or team fees in full will result in your child(ren) not being eligible to participate in tryouts or team activities.
