*Credit Cards can take up to 10 days to show up on your card as they have been  processed and now up to  the credit card company .Checks will be mailed out May 3.

We will begin processing refunds by teams, as now we have heard back from Hockey Manitoba.  You will receive your refund either by credit card  ( if you intially paid that way or check) . 

The refunds will be prorated based upon the amount of programming that had been provided for a particular age group. Some fees are not recoverable (such as U9A-U18 ( includes any tryouts except House Leaque) tryout fees and evaluation fees $130 , Websites, supplies, and processing fees $50, HW and HM fees $48.00,  U7-U9 Novice  $25 Ice Costs ). Club fees other than EE will be in your totals so if you are EE your total will be different .

Female costs deducted will be: player insurance and processing fees $50, HW and HM fees $48.00 and $25 tryouts fees. Female refunds will done by TMHA for Transcona girls.

Your club fee will be returned to you . If you are a East End member you would have received refund for those already.

***If you had any outstanding registration fees or ice team fees that will deducted from your refund.

If your child plays for a Railcats or AAA, your refunds will be distributed by those associations.

We appreciate your patience in this undertaking of the refunds as it took many hours of volunteer time and we overloaded the system.

Refunds are final and non-negotiable.

Due to the cancellation of the 2020/21 season by Hockey Winnipeg, registration fees paid to TMHA in the fall will be refunded to members on or around April 30th, net of amounts retained by our governing bodies (Hockey Winnipeg, Hockey Manitoba and Hockey Canada), and certain operating costs incurred by TMHA( tryouts, admin costs etc) up until the shutdown. Our Treasurer will calculate refunds for each member and process how payment was done initially.

If your child plays for a Railcats or AAA, your refunds will be distributed by those associations.

We are encouraging teams to commence training activities as soon as it is deemed safe by the province. Any ice rental or other costs associated with operating team training will run through the team accounts.

We thank you in advance for your patience. This will be a large undertaking and it will take a significant amount of time.


Transcona Minor Hockey Season Survey

Hello All,

Transcona Minor Hockey is sending a survey out for feedback  if restrictions get lifted.

As of February 12, the Province of Manitoba is easing restrictions as it relates to organized hockey with practices and games permitted OUTDOORS ONLY. The revised public health orders are in place for at least 3 weeks,  however Transcona Minor Hockey is seeking your feedback in case  provincial restrictions are further eased to allow INDOOR teams to do  development  as in  practices and hold exhibition games.

 If restrictions are lifted on indoor play, teams would remain intact until April 30th (at which time Hockey Canada insurance expires).




Effective January 30, 2021 the Board of Directors and Executive Members of Hockey Winnipeg have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the 2020/2021 Regular Hockey Season and Playoffs. This directive excludes those teams that participate in provincially run leagues.

It has always been the hope of Hockey Winnipeg to return to scheduled league play, however the current restrictions, timelines and ice availability does not make that feasible. This decision is not closing the door on hockey this year, just Hockey Winnipeg regular season and playoff games. This will allow for Area Associations within Hockey Winnipeg to provide local programming for the balance of the season as public health restrictions may allow.

Hockey Winnipeg and our Area Associations will be working to provide fair refunds to our members over the next few months. The refunds will be pro-rated based upon the amount of activity that has taken place and what activity can be offered at the local level once restrictions allow. Some fees are not recoverable (such as tryout fees where tryouts have taken place, player insurance, etc.) and those fees will not be refunded. Should refunds be provided, they will be distributed to members by the end date of a typical hockey season which is April 30th, 2021.

The Board of Directors and Executive Members of Hockey Winnipeg did not take this decision lightly and it is with heavy hearts and after lengthy discussion that we share this directive. We would like to thank our members for being patient throughout this trying season and we regret the premature end of the 2020/2021 hockey season. We plan to support our Area Associations as much as possible with locally run programming.

Hello Everyone,


When the season was put on hold back in early November I sure didn’t think that we would be away from the game for so long. While we are not back on the ice yet I am still hopeful that we will be able to have a meaningful hockey season. At our last Hockey Winnipeg board meeting on January 9th every association in the city affirmed their desire to see hockey move forward. While we don’t know what it will look like we are committed to see hockey programming happen for the kids in our communities. To be clear our first choice and our first priority is to get kids back on the ice and have a meaningful hockey season.

If the government does not allow hockey to resume and the season is cancelled we will work towards an equitable refund of fees. What does this mean? We will be completely transparent with the fees that are refunded and the fees that are not able to be returned. For instance Hockey Winnipeg has committed to refund all fees related to the proportion of the season that is canceled.  On the other hand programming had begun and fees that cover tryouts, admin costs, equipment  have already been spent at the start of the season. Likewise the fees for insurance will not be able to be refunded as kids have been on the ice. These are just examples, my commitment to you on behalf of the board is that we will be transparent and work to offer refunds that will return as much money to families as possible. As you may be aware TMHA is made up of volunteers if we get into the scenario of refunds it will take time and I will ask for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate this pandemic.

All participants are required to use Manitoba’s COVID-19 screening tool before each session. 

Screening can be completed online at    or in Interactive Voice Response (IVR) format at 1-877-308-9038.

Hockey Manitoba recently announced that they are moving to Phase 3 of the Return-to-Play (RTP) plan, and the start of the season is imminent.  Exhibition Game play is anticipated to start shortly after October 15, 2020 and Hockey Winnipeg is working diligently to develop a season schedule starting November 15, 2020.  Approvals for tournament exemptions will not be allowed for the first half of the season and potentially for the entire 2020-21 season.

We would like to share some important information with its' players and their parents/guardians in regards to the upcoming hockey season.

Our priority is to follow the guidelines established by the Hockey Manitoba Return to Play Document. 

On Sept 1, we entered Phase 2 of Return to Play Protocol.

We can start our tryout process and tryouts will start Sept 12. Throughout the coming weeks, we will complete the evalations of our players,select our coaches and form our teams.

We will then start practicing and our coaches will develop our teams as we evolve  into Hockey Manitoba's Phase 3 Return to Play of league games .

The season fees have been set to equalize our costs associated with the season, if for some reason, the season is affected; – for example, no games or no league play; be assured the organization will arrange refunds accordlingly. 

We ask your understanding as this  situation changes. Our volunteers are working hard to keep on top of the management of these processes needed.

So, when registering your player, please keep this information in mind.

Respect-In-Sport Parent Program

Hockey Winnipeg announced the implementation of a mandatory



This on-line course must be completed prior to your son/daughter being registered on a team within Hockey Canada. Instructions for registration are linked below.
There is a $12.00 fee for this mandatory program


Note: Even if you have a Respect-In-Sport registration number as a coach, manager, safety person you must complete the RIS Parent as well.

Use TMHA Site to Manage Your Team!

Team managers are encouraged to use the TMHA site to manage and organize their team's activities. Create a Sport Ngin account and register as a member to have full access to post team schedules, rosters, photos, videos and stats. It's free and is a useful tool, comparable to Team Snap. Once you have registered contact Tasha at via to finalize your access.
